Synopsis

College student Saya Hattori lives with her mother, who became mentally unstable and obsessively controlling after her father left. Every day is a suffocating hell. When Saya mentions moving out, her mother's behavior escalates. Unable to take it anymore, Saya runs out into the rainy night. Drenched and with nowhere to go, she encounters Naoki, a senior from her university, in front of a convenience store. Naoki is a struggling musician living paycheck to paycheck, but his eccentric kindness makes Saya break down. In his cramped apartment, she pours out her heart, but he coldly asks, "So, what do you want me to do about it?" Desperate to escape reality, she pleads, "I want you to... mess up my head..." It's a cry for help that excites him. Thus begins a fleeting, carnal relationship that solves nothing but offers a momentary escape. They sink together into a sweet, bottomless swamp of shared loneliness.
