Synopsis

Anzu Koyama is a divorced woman in her thirties scraping by with a part-time job at a convenience store. She started this job four years ago when she got married, and even after her divorce, she has continued out of habit while failing every job interview she attends. Feeling stuck in a repetitive cycle, she is filled with anxiety and resignation. However, a small change enters her life: Hayato Yano, the night shift worker who takes over when her morning shift ends. Though blunt, he is a serious young man seven years her junior. One day, Hayato suddenly confesses, 'I want you to go out with me.' To a stunned Anzu, he reveals his long-held feelings: 'This is the fourth spring I've spent loving you.' Despite his straightforward affection, Anzu cannot accept it, thinking, 'Who would want a divorced woman my age?' Comparing her dull reality to his radiant youth, she instinctively pushes him away.
