We Can't Just Be Best Friends Anymore

Synopsis

I was at a loss after my roommate suddenly canceled, leaving me homeless. In my moment of despair, my best friend since high school, Kitazawa, reached out. 
"You can live with me," he said. "We're friends, right? We should help each other out." 
Kitazawa is handsome but laid-back, yet he's always been the closest person to me. Even after graduation, we maintained a comfortable, platonic relationship. Living with him seemed impossible... but I had nowhere else to go. 
Believing in the promise that it was only "temporary until I settle down," we began "living together"—not as a couple, but as roommates. We have separate rooms, and as long as we keep our distance like always, it'll be fine. Or so I told myself. 

But it wasn't fine. 
Because I've always been in love with Kitazawa. 
I had decided to take these feelings to my grave because our friendship meant everything to me. However, living under the same roof easily shakes my resolve. His defenseless state after a bath, our bodies accidentally touching in the kitchen, the gentle gaze he gives me... the feelings I thought I could control are overflowing day by day. 
I can't go on like this. We won't be able to stay "just friends." 
I have to end this temporary arrangement. Just as I made that decision... 
"...Why not me?" 
Suddenly, he pulls me close and seals my lips with his. Our long-standing friendship begins to crumble, consumed by heat.
